The new OnTerraSystems.com home page, bringing OnTerra Systems, RouteSavvy, and MapSavvy together on one website.

OnTerra Systems Company News Alert: As of October 30, 2026, OnTerra Systems has one website that covers Bing Maps migration help, maps licensing, RouteSavvy route optimization, and MapSavvy aerial imagery.

If you’ve worked with us over the years, you may have known us by any of those three names, each with its own website. OnTerra Systems, RouteSavvy, and MapSavvy information now live on one website: www.onterrasystems.com.

Quick Answers:

  • One website. www.onterrasystems.com, www.routesavvy.com and www.mapsavvy.com are now combined at www.onterrasystems.com.
  • Old links still work. RouteSavvy and MapSavvy links redirect to the matching page. Sign-in, trials and support haven’t changed.
  • Bing Maps migration comes first. Microsoft retires Bing Maps for Enterprise on June 30, 2028, and new 12-month contracts end June 30, 2027. Our free Bing Maps Migration Guide covers your options.
  • New: RouteSavvy MCP Server. Plan optimized routes from inside AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT.

OnTerra Systems is a Denver-based geospatial company founded in 2005. We license maps from Microsoft Azure Maps, HERE Technologies and Bing Maps, build route optimization software under the RouteSavvy name, deliver aerial imagery through MapSavvy, and help organizations plan and build mapping applications. Here’s what changed, where to find things, and what’s new.

OnTerra Systems New Website: Why We Combined Three Websites Into One

RouteSavvy and MapSavvy always have been OnTerra Systems products, built and supported by the same team. Running three separate websites meant customers often hopped between sites to find licensing, APIs, and imagery that are meant to work together. A single site makes it easier to see everything we offer, compare options side by side, and reach the right person when you have a question.

Microsoft is retiring Bing Maps for Enterprise on June 30, 2028, and free Bing Maps usage has already ended. If your applications use Bing Maps, now is the time to choose where you’re moving, because the deadlines that affect most organizations come sooner than 2028.

Maps Licensing Section: How Do I Choose A Bing Maps Replacement?

Most organizations move to Microsoft Azure Maps or HERE Technologies. The right choice depends on which Bing Maps features you use today (geocoding, routing, imagery, multi-stop optimization), where your users are, your transaction volume and your budget. Some Bing Maps features don’t have a one-to-one replacement, so it pays to inventory what your applications rely on before you pick a platform. Our migration guide walks through that comparison, and our team can review your specific setup.

Maps Licensing: Azure Maps, HERE Maps and Bing Maps

OnTerra Systems is an authorized reseller of Azure Maps, HERE Technologies, and Bing Maps. The Maps Licensing menu covers each one:

RouteSavvy Section: Route Optimization APIs, AI And Online Route Planning

RouteSavvy is OnTerra’s route optimization product line. It works out the most efficient order of stops for drivers, technicians, and delivery fleets.

  • RouteSavvy API and API PLUS: Route optimization APIs for developers. The standard API handles basic optimization. API PLUS adds time windows, multi-vehicle optimization, and up to 1,000 stops, and is a replacement for the Bing Maps Multi-Itinerary Optimization API. API PLUS also is available on Microsoft’s Azure Marketplace.
  • RouteSavvy MCP Server (NEW): Route optimization inside AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use outside tools. Give your AI assistant a list of stops, get back optimized routes, and adjust everything with ordinary chat prompts, such as “Plan tomorrow’s routes for these 40 deliveries across three vans, starting from our warehouse.”
  • RouteSavvy Online: Our web-based route planner for small and mid-sized fleets, with a free 14-day trial.

MapSavvy Section: Affordable Aerial Imagery For GIS And CAD

MapSavvy is an OGC-compliant web map service that delivers aerial imagery from Google Maps, Bing Maps, and HERE through standard WMS and WMTS services. It works with ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, Global Mapper and other GIS and CAD tools, so engineers, surveyors, developers, and researchers can bring current aerial imagery into the software they already use. Plans start at $999 per year for 40,000 images.

Consulting And Development Section

From Bing Maps migrations to custom mapping applications, our Consulting & Development team helps you plan the move and build what comes next. That includes assessing the applications on which your current applications depend, moving them to Azure Maps or HERE Maps, integrating route optimization, and building new location-based tools.
