Overview

One connector to solve your vehicle routing problem

The RouteSavvy MCP Server connects Claude to RouteSavvy's route‑optimization engine, built for delivery, field‑service, and route‑sales operations. Share a list of stops and multiple drivers, and Claude hands back optimized driver‑by‑driver itineraries — up to 1,000 stops and 50 vehicles per run, no routing console or spreadsheet formulas required. Stop locations can come from any type of data file — a CSV, an Excel workbook, a PDF work-order list, even a plain list typed into chat — Claude reads it and takes care of the rest.

Everything below is available straight from a Claude conversation — no setup beyond connecting the MCP Server.

Multi‑vehicle optimization

Assign up to 50 vehicles across up to 1,000 stops in a single run, each starting and ending at its own depot or a shared one. Optimize by drive time or by distance.

Fleet Scale

Time windows & priority

Give any stop an earliest/latest arrival window and a priority level. If everything can't fit, lower‑priority stops are the ones left for another run — never a hard requirement.

Scheduling

Driver breaks & shift windows

Set each driver's shift and a break, with its own window and length — skipped automatically if the route wraps up first.

Driver Care

Turn‑by‑turn + map‑ready routes

Every itinerary comes with leg‑by‑leg driving directions and a route path ready to plot on a map.

Navigation

Unassigned‑stop reporting

Anything that can't be reached in time comes back named, with a plain‑language reason — never silently dropped.

Transparency

Do more with fewer drivers

Ask Claude to use as few vehicles as possible instead of spreading stops across every driver you provide — RouteSavvy consolidates the workload onto the smallest fleet that can still cover every stop within its time windows and shift limits, so drivers who aren't needed can be freed up for other work.

How It Works

What data you need to provide

Stop locations can come from any type of data file — a CSV, an Excel workbook, a PDF, a JSON file, or a plain list in chat. The card below describes the input data you provide to Claude, split into what's required for every run and what's optional and only refines the result.

Required Input Data

Stop locations data

Latitude/longitude coordinates for every stop to visit.

Driver (vehicle) data

A start location (and end location) for each driver, also using latitude/longitude coordinates.

Note: Stop locations must be in latitude/longitude coordinate format — street addresses are not supported directly. If your data has street addresses, geocode it into coordinates before using it with the RouteSavvy MCP Server in Claude. Optional Input Data

Stop locations data

Arrival time window

The earliest and latest time each stop can be visited.

Priority level

How important a stop is relative to others — only used if not every stop can be served.

On‑site visit duration

How many minutes a driver is estimated to spend at the stop once they arrive.

For Drivers

Driver shift hours

The start and end time of each driver's working shift.

Driver break

One scheduled break window and length per driver.

For Optimization Generally

Optimization objective

Whether to minimize total drive time or total drive distance across the whole fleet. Default is drive time.

Minimize vehicles

Tell Claude to solve using the fewest vehicles needed to cover every stop, rather than distributing stops across your full driver list.

Flexible Input Data Sources

Driver and vehicle details can live in the same data file as the stop locations, in a separate file, or simply be described directly in your prompt to Claude — whatever's easiest for how you manage your stop and driver data.

Service Limits

Each optimization run supports up to 1,000 stops and 50 vehicles by default. Higher limits can be enabled if needed. Trial connections are capped at 100 stops and 5 vehicles per run for the first 14 days.

No JSON to write — Claude builds the payload from your stop list and plain language.

Dispatch a route

What it does: Reads your stop file and driver roster, optimizes the routes, and returns a per‑driver itinerary.

Say things like

Generate routes for 5 drivers starting and ending at depot location for the “restaurant” stops from my CSV file.

Assign 3 drivers from my drivers file to the work orders in my stop locations file.

Route my drivers to the work orders in my stop locations file, using as few vehicles as possible.

Filter to a subset of stops

What it does: Narrows the stop list to just the type or tag you name before optimizing again.

Say things like

Rerun, but only route the gas station stops.

Only include “bank” stop locations.

Run the driver work order assignment optimization again, but with three new stop additions.

Try It Yourself

Sample data to test with

A ready-made stop list of locations in Denver, CO for trying the connector before you connect your own data — 99 stops split evenly across banks, gas stations, and restaurants, plus a depot, sized to fit within the trial’s 100‑stop, 5‑vehicle limits. A matching sample driver (vehicle) roster is included below so you can pair the two and run a full test.

Getting Started

Connect it once in Claude, dispatch from chat after that

Add the connector in Claude

In Claude, go to Customize → Connectors → Directory, search for the RouteSavvy MCP Server and install it. Connect using the same email address you registered with.

Share a stop list with Claude

Attach a stop list in any type of data file — CSV, Excel, PDF, or just paste one into your conversation — and tell Claude the driver list and driver info you want to use.

Get driver itineraries back

Claude calls the RouteSavvy MCP Server and returns a dispatcher‑ready workbook — one tab per driver, plus an Unassigned tab for anything that didn't fit.
